The CMA 470 Refrigerated Fraction Collector is designed for collecting microliter (μL) microdialysis samples. Its electronic cooling system can reach temperatures as low as 6°C, and collection can be performed in sealed collection bottles. Preventing sample evaporation and chemical degradation are two important design considerations. It can collect samples down to the bottom of the bottle, as small as 1 μL. Up to 64 (300 μL) or 40 (2 mL) collection bottles can be accommodated. The CMA 470 has different collection holders, allowing for stepwise collection in up to four channels simultaneously. The cryogenic control container contains a rotating collection bottle holder, and the collection holders are suspended vertically, ensuring no impact on the collection flow rate. The CMA 470 collector does not require a computer connection to operate, but it does include an RS232 and a USB port for connection to other instruments or computers, or for upgrades. -
